I have Gelaskin Art on my early 2011 15" MacBook Pro and this is the best way to show it off while provide as good as if not better protection than a neoprene sleeve, although some sleeves do have better edge protection. I am also a little leery if out in the sun or heat too long that the plastic side will stick to my Gelaskin. When I put my speck case on it is a perfect fit into the case but since I don't have a see-through speck case it defeats the purpose. Without a case on there is a little wiggle room, but not enough to concern me. Excellent construction quality and while I haven't tested it yet through TSA I'm looking forward to not taking it out of the case as I travel A LOT!!

I ordered this for a Dell XPS 15. The laptop has about a half inch on either side when in the sleeve, but that perfect. My previous sleeves zipped up so that the zipper ran along the laptop. I couldnt have that. This sleeve opens really nice also. You could almost use the laptop right in the sleeve. I have no regrets ordering this case. We will see how well it stands up to time. I think it will last a long time. The sleeve is well made.

Altego's thought about it's customers' needs: sizing (my laptop's an "odd" 14 in.), daily utility (padding vs bulk: perfect for my everyday backpack), special errands(to get through an airport reasonably), and a reasonable price. I'm going to recommend this one widely -- worthy of my first Amazon review.
